LIGHT Program

What is LIGHT?

The LIGHT Program believes that residents’ health and well-being depend on multiple factors which no one Baltimore City agency or outside organization is able to address on its own.

To help Baltimore City residents become more self-sufficient, safer, more stable and healthier in their homes, LIGHT assists residents in obtaining a variety of no- and low-cost services, and coordinates and manages the delivery of those services.

LIGHT Program case coordinators conduct assessments and screen clients for energy-efficiency/weatherization, home rehabilitation, lead hazard reduction, fall/injury prevention, asthma reduction, other healthy home improvements, tax credits, employment assistance, health care access, financial benefits and more, and then match clients needs and eligibility with available services. Services are provided by Baltimore City agencies as well as outside organizations.

For more info, please check out the City’s website.

If you reside on a Healthy Neighborhoods Target Block, your block is eligible to receive a grant up to $3,000 to increase its curb appeal. Call our Community Engagement Specialist, Christina Delgado at 410-914-4242 to learn more today.
